**UPDATE: Ramp open as of 9:04PM** Our Traffic Units along with the 1st & 11th District Fire Police are currently assisting Chester Township Fire Company and the Delaware River Port Authority - DRPA on a overturned tractor trailer on the ramp from the Commodore Barry Bridge to Interstate 95 South. The Upper Chichester Fire Departments regrets to announce the passing of Jerry Gaspero. Jerry joined the Reliance Fire Company in 1990 and was a life member. Jerry was a man of many hats and he wore them all proudly. At the time of his passing, he served as Treasurer for the Fire Company and Relief Association. Jerry also held the positions of President and Trustee during his tenure. Jerry was also a member of the Upper Chichester Township Fire Police where he remained active up until his passing. He was a constant fixture at every Fire Company event and would always great you with a smile. He was the true definition of a friend and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. A viewing and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at Pagano Funeral Home in Garnet Valley, PA. The viewing will be held from 9:30am-11:00am followed by the memorial service. Companies 47, 17, and 81 were dispatched to 12th St and Engle St for a 2 car accident with injuries. Rescue 47 and Squad 47 made the response with 11. Command 47 held the assignment to Station 47. The Upper Chichester Township Fire Police regrets to announce the passing of longtime Fire Police Art Sciocchetti. Art joined Boothwyn Fire Company in 1972 and was made an Honorary Life Member in 1993. In 1981, Art joined the Upper Chichester Township Fire Police where he remained active up until his passing. Art served as the Township Captain for many years, just recently fulfilling a Township Lieutenant spot. Art had also held the position of Vice President for many years for the Association. During the school year, Art could always be found out protecting the crosswalks as a Crossing Guard for Upper Chichester Township. A position he held for nearly 11 years. Art was always about serving the community and his country. He served in the Air Force from 1960-1963 and was also a member of the Air Force Band. When not serving the community, he really loved playing music in his band and camping with his wife, Pam. His arrangements are being made and will be posted once they're official.
